Teen Connects with Family and Wondrous Nature at Zion Ponderosa Ranch
ORDERVILLE, Utah (May 2024): Logan is an explorer at heart, and with his love of road tripping, he hopes to one day drive through all 50 states. With his wish coming true, he can now pin a state on his adventure map.
While Logan was enjoying dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Northglenn, he was surprised by their special announcement. They revealed that Kids Wish Network was making Logan’s dream come true, sending him to Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort in Utah! Texas Roadhouse also provided his family’s meals to further celebrate Logan’s wish.
Kids Wish Network booked and purchased his family’s flights to Utah for his wonder filled getaway to Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, located on the east side of Zion Park. His first thrilling adventure was the Zion Sunset Jeep Tour. There were stunning views of the majestic landscape as they maneuvered over large boulders and navigated through winding trees ascending to the top of Pine Knoll. Once there, it showcased 360 degree views, and a magnificent sunset. Other highlights were the personalized Checkerboard Trail Ride, hiking with his mom, and the Stargazing Night tour which offered a brilliant view of the stars, distant planets, and the Milky Way. Logan said their guide was an amazing storyteller, and he loved learning all about the constellations.
Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort generously provided his family’s stay in a cabin, Checkerboard Trail Ride and breakfasts. Kids Wish Network purchased their Zion Sunset Jeep Tour, Stargazing Night tour, and provided additional means for expenses.
“Life is always an adventure,” said Logan. His mom Amy agreed and added, “Through the ups and downs, you can always find something positive.” She continued with gratitude for Logan’s wish. “We really appreciate it, and thank you so much for everything that you’ve done.”
After finding a lump on Logan’s neck, a surgery and biopsy revealed he had nodular lymphocyte predominant hodgkin lymphoma, a type of cancer. He started off his school year going through six rounds of chemo. It was tough adjusting to all the treatments, losing his hair, and still going to school. He bravely coped with all the challenges, and his treatment was successful. He’s now in remission.
