Wish Offers Exotic Getaway to Kalahari, No Passport Required

YUKON, Okla. (May 2024): Kenna loves playing in water, and water parks are her happy place. For her wish, Kids Wish Network is taking water play to the next level, purchasing her family a generous gift card to Kalahari Resorts! All of their properties have a magical African ambiance, and have imaginative indoor and outdoor water parks with multiple play zones, and a wide variety of additional family friendly activities. Kenna’s family has many locations to choose from. It’s going to be a very memorable getaway full of smiles and special moments creating beautiful family memories.

Kenna’s health issues were evident right after birth. When she attempted to take in nourishment, it would cause her to aspirate. She underwent airway surgery at only four weeks old, and was put on a ventilator. Kenna was hospitalized for nearly two weeks. At four months old, she was diagnosed with Angelman syndrome. She had a feeding tube inserted, and stayed in the hospital for over three months. She can’t walk, and uses a wheelchair. Kenna was lucky to survive a trauma with her colon where it almost ruptured, however her intestines no longer function.

Many Thanks

Kids Wish Network could not have provided this wish to Kenna without the help of the many supporters who believe in making wishes come true for kids who need hope. Visit www.kidswishnetwork.org to learn about our different programs.

Kids Wish Network has been making dreams come true for children since 1997. We are dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children experiencing life-altering situations. We started with the single purpose of granting wishes to children suffering from life-threatening conditions but have since created additional programs to benefit kids nationwide, including Hero of the Month, Project Toy Drop, Holiday of Hope Gift Banks, and A Child Forever Funeral Assistance.

Every kid’s wish is worth the investment because every wish changes a life.

If you would like to sponsor a child’s wish, or if you know a child who is suffering from a life-threatening illness and may be in need of Kids Wish Network’s wish-granting services, please call 727-789-0008.
