Great Wolf Lodge Adventures Await, and Water Park will Make a Big Splash
GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (May 2024): Jeremiah loves playing outside and swimming, although he’s only had the chance to experience a pool just once in his life. Kids Wish Network made his dream come true, sending his family to Great Wolf Lodge Southern California. The adventure themed resort has many kid-friendly activities, and one of its most adored highlights is its massive indoor water park with a variety of thrilling slides, a lazy river, surfing simulator, water playground, and many more water activities and play zones. It all sounded so amazing, and Jeremiah was very excited to go. Sadly, right before their trip, his family was unable to go due to medical issues. The Great Wolf Lodge Southern California is graciously postponing their visit until Jeremiah’s family is able to travel. Kids Wish Network is also providing his family with the means for travel expenses and incidentals. This much-needed getaway will be a very treasured time of family togetherness.
Jeremiah had flu-like symptoms at 6 months old. Continued testing revealed he had a missing part of a gene that affected his immune system. Nearly a year later, he became very ill, and was hospitalized for over 11 months. During that time, Jeremiah received steroids, underwent 14 days of chemotherapy, and had a bone marrow transplant which successfully treated the missing part of the gene. Jeremiah needs tube feedings at night, and gets physical, occupational and speech therapies at school.
