Dahvea’s mom gave her life, and years later this special girl saved hers. It was a day her mom will always remember. When they were getting ready to head out for the day, her mom started feeling light-headed and nauseous. She laid down for a bit but started feeling worse. Dahvea asked if she was ok, but her mom couldn’t talk or move. She was only five, yet remained calm and swiftly called 911 and her grandma. She even brought her mom water. Her mom was rushed to the hospital and treated as a result of her blood sugar levels being dangerously low. Dahvea’smomis so thankful for her daughter’s composure and swift action in saving her life. She nominated Dahvea, and Kids Wish Network is honored to name her a Hero

We started with the single purpose of granting wishes to children suffering from life-threatening conditions but have since created additional programs to benefit kids nationwide, including Hero of the Month, Project Toy Drop, Holiday of Hope Gift Banks, and A Child Forever Funeral Assistance.
