Wish Kid’s Joy Soars with Philadelphia Eagles
Trent almost had to pinch himself to believe he wasn’t dreaming. He and his family were at Lincoln Financial Field watching the Philadelphia Eagles play from his own private suite.“It was awesome!”Trent exclaimed. Besides all the excitement of attending his first Eagles game, he was also impressed by all of his VIP suite’s perks including a bountiful spread of gourmet sandwiches, goodies, and“a lot of soda in the fridge!”In addition to the special invite from the Eagles, they also sent him a signed picture of his favorite player Carson Wentz, a Wentz jersey, Eagles blanket, backpack, and lots more swag. His dream came true through Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses. We surprised him with even more Eagles merchandise that he was wishing for, sending him a jersey, and an autographed helmet and football signed by running back Miles Sanders. Kids Wish also purchased him a generous Ticketmaster gift card so Trent and his family could enjoy another special event together. He’s deciding whether to see another game, show, or his favorite band the Imagine Dragons when they’re touring again.“ Thank you so much for his wish,” said Trent’s mom Ashley.“ Everything was exceptionally wonderful!”
Before Trent’s dream came true, he went through many struggles battling liver cancer. After his diagnosis, he endured rounds of chemo, and a holiday season undergoing surgery to remove a hepatocellular tumor. It was also a big adjustment going from traditional school to online learning, he really missed being at school with his friends. “We’re thrilled that Trent was able to experience even more than he wished for,” said his Wish Coordinator Melissa Calabrese.“His collectible Eagles merchandise and swag will continue to keep him smiling and remembering his ultimate game day.” Kids Wish Network would like to thank the Philadelphia Eagles for giving Trent such an extraordinary experience and special memorabilia that he’ll always treasure.
