Wish Kid Will Have ‘Best Christmas Ever’
Santa Sends Ryleigh Gifts Full of Magic
TAYLOR, Mich. (December 2020): Wish Kid Ryleigh intently watched a video message from someone who keeps her a true believer in Christmas. “My friends at Kids Wish Network are making your dreams come true!” said jolly Santa, courtesy of SantaClausCalls.com. “And by the looks of your wish, you must have been extra nice this year!” Santa told Ryleigh that Kids Wish had a big gift for her. They were sending her a gift card full of magic – she was going to Disney World! She couldn’t believe it was actually happening. Ryleigh had been asking her mom to go to Disney every day and was determined to save up enough money for her family by making and selling her own bracelets. In addition to the generous Disney gift card, Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, also purchased her a Hotels.com gift card for her family’s stay in Orlando. Their adventure will continue at LEGOLAND Florida’s theme park, with tickets provided by Merlin’s Magic Wand. “This will be the best Christmas ever!” said Ryleigh’s mom Melissa.
Ryleigh has been through so much since her traumatic birth. She was born prematurely with a grade 3 brain bleed, and hydrocephalus, a condition causing a buildup of fluid in the brain. She spent several weeks in the NICU. Ryleigh has a shunt implanted in her brain that has been infected twice and has undergone nearly a dozen surgeries. Despite all her challenges, she loves trying new things and gives her best each day.
