Christmas Came Early for Alabama Wish Kid
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (December 2020): Annadelle’s gaze was fully focused on a personalized video with one of her most adored princesses. Princess Anna, courtesy of Ever After Character Events, revealed that Kids Wish Network was making her dream come true! Kids Wish purchased her family generous gift cards to Disney and Hotels.com, so Annadelle could finally experience all the Disney magic for herself. Her eyes widened and her mouth gaped open in disbelief. It was finally happening. After all these years of wishing big, she was finally going to Disney World!
A couple of years ago, Annadelle’s headache and mild fever quickly escalated into something nobody would have expected. She became paralyzed from the neck down, and additional complications had her fighting for her life. Annadelle was hospitalized for several months and finally diagnosed with acute flaccid myelitis, an extremely rare neurological condition that results in weakness and paralysis. She’s undergone extensive rehabilitation and still relies on her leg braces and a wheelchair.
“Christmas came early for Annadelle,” said her Wish Coordinator Kim Kreiner. “We’re thrilled we could give her this very special dream that she carried in her heart.”
