Wish Kid Gets to Shop, Shop, and Shop!

Aubrey Gifted Ultimate Shopping Adventure

STRATHMORE, Calif. (February 2021): Aubrey’s wide gaping smile revealed her amazement. She just found out Kids Wish Network was making her dream come true, and just how much she had to spend on a shopping spree at her favorite stores. Her major gift cards will take power shopping to a whole new level at Target, Old Navy/Gap, and a variety of retailers and restaurants with her Happy Her gift card for the ultimate shopping adventure. What’s the first thing she plans on buying? Aubrey loves scented lotions and sprays, so perfume is first on her list. Her wish reveal was also elevated with the kindness of Save Mart, who gifted Aubrey a festive bouquet of foil and pink balloons attached to a gift basket brimming with sweet indulgences and a cuddly purple teddy bear. 

From the very beginning, Aubrey was faced with many adversities. She was born with spina bifida and underwent surgery. Within weeks, it was also discovered she had hydrocephalus, needing another surgery to implant a shunt. Years later she had a shunt revision and another operation on her hip and thigh. Aubrey relies on a wheelchair to get around and is also challenged with additional complications since birth.   

“Aubrey is going to have a fabulous time shopping for all the things she’s been wishing for, enjoying something special just for her,” said her Wish Coordinator Kim Kreiner.
