Meeting Two-Time and Reigning ACM “Entertainer of the Year” Jason Aldean is Alabama “Country Boy’s World”
Sam loves listening to Country music, especially songs by multi-PLATINUM entertainer Jason Aldean. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses, learned about Sam’s admiration for the singing superstar, and worked “Fast” in making sure all of the special details for Sam’s wish were “Good to Go.”
Sam has cerebral palsy, a disorder of movement, muscle tone, or posture that is caused by damage that occurs to the developing brain, most often before birth. Sam’s symptoms became more severe over time, and he’d frequently fall down when doing something as simple as walking around his home. Various therapies and leg braces have helped Sam gain better control while walking.
The day of Sam’s once-in-a-lifetime wish, his family was chauffeured by Over The Mountain Sedan in a stylish limousine to the Mountain Amphitheater for Aldean’s “THEY DON’T KNOW TOUR” stop in Pelham. Upon arrival, the VIP treatment continued with Sam and his family being escorted backstage for a special Meet and Greet. Sam’s big moment arrived… he was introduced to Aldean and enjoyed time backstage taking pictures with his idol. Then it was time for the show, and Sam excitedly watched Aldean perform live in concert. He was smiling the whole time, swaying his arms, and reveled in hearing all of his favorite songs - it was an amazing night.
During the wish, the family also enjoyed beautiful accommodations at the Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa, a fun day at the Birmingham Zoo, dining at Brio Tuscan Grille, Seasons 52, and Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. Sam was also kindly gifted a painting signed by the staff at Firebirds as a heartfelt surprise.
