Spider-Man Fan Experiences ‘Marvel’ous Wish
ORLANDO, Fla (May 2022):Elijah adores Spider-Man, and wants to be his favorite super hero when he grows up. He received a big surprise from his idol’s look-a-like, Abilene Spidey, who is also a hero for all his charity work in bringing smiles to kids in need of happiness. Abilene Spidey recorded a dynamic reveal video for Elijah that included lots of Spidey moves, an acrobatic flip, and the most amazing news that Kids Wish Network was making his dream come true. His family was going on a Universal adventure and more in Florida! Kids Wish Network flew Elijah’s family to Orlando to experience Universal Orlando and all of its superhero action including a thrilling Spider-Man ride. Admission was provided by Universal. His family also created so many special memories at LEGOLAND, taking in all the life-size LEGO sculptures, shows and fun rides. Tickets were courtesy of Merlin Magic Wand.
Elijah’s wish trip also included a beautiful stay at theFlorida Hotel and Conference Center, with accommodations donated by the resort. The Cheesecake Factory also invited the family for dinner, compliments of the restaurant. They went all out with Spider-Man balloons, spelling his name with mylar balloon letters, and lots of gifts.
Elijah’s dream coming true made him feel so special, being celebrated with all the things that make him smile. When he was a baby, a noticeable lump on his tongue turned out to be spindle cell rhabdomyosarcoma, a type of soft tissue cancer. Elijah has been through radiation and surgery, however the cancer came back after his first round of treatments. He’s now in remission.
