Wish Kid with Liver Transplant to See Mickey Real Soon

ATLANTA, Ga. (July 2022): Aaliyah loves Mickey Mouse and really hoped to see him at Disney World. Now she can! Kids Wish Network made her dream come true by giving her family generous Disney gift cards that are good for park tickets, dining, shopping, and more, along with Pack& Go gift cards that her family can use for airfare, food, gas, and accommodations for their travel. Aaliyah’s family was also surprised finding out they’ll be receiving tickets for Universal Orlando provided by the theme park and LEGOLAND tickets courtesy of Merlin’s Magic Wand. Her amazing Florida adventure awaits!

Aaliyah was born premature. She had a cyst removed from an ovary when it was also discovered that she had an enlarged liver. She was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a childhood disease where one or more bile ducts are abnormally narrow, blocked, or absent. Aaliyah remained in the hospital for a year until receiving her liver transplant. She currently requires close follow-up and daily treatment to sustain her transplanted liver.
