Hero Bravely Faces Heart Surgery, Selflessly Puts Attention on Sister’s Wellness

“Jesse is the brother of one of our recent patients,” said his Child Life Specialist. He unexpectedly required a hospitalization for a mitral valve replacement surgery. Jesse is determined and was worried about his sister and her recovery more than his own.

He was nominated by his Child Life Specialist Adrienne Feilden at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital in Fountain Valley, California. Kids Wish Network awarded Jesse as a Hero for his courage in facing the unknowns and challenges of his heart surgery, and selflessly putting his attention on caring about his sister and her wellness.
