Wish is a Fairytale with Princesses, Wonder and Pure Joy
ORLANDO, Fla. (April 2023): Lowry loves Disney Princesses, and longed to meet her favorite royals. Kids Wish Network made her dream come true, giving Lowry her own magical fairytale.
Her family was flown to Florida, and enjoyed 3-day Disney Park Hopper passes exploring the wonders of the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Topping Lowry’s to do list was getting to see as many princesses as possible. “There isn’t a princess that she didn’t meet,” said her mom Erin. “Cinderella was a big deal, she loved Cinderella.” There were also precious moments with sweethearts Mickey and Minnie, and experiencing the imaginative rides, shows and fireworks. “I ran out of room on my phone from taking so many pictures,” said Lowry’s dad Travis. These treasured photos continue the radiant joy she felt during her wish.
Ford’s Garage in Kissimmee was attentive in making sure she experienced all the whimsy of their themed restaurant. They also gifted her a hat, made her grilled cheese sandwich “just the way she likes it,” and sweetened her visit with cookies and ice cream for dessert. City Works Eatery and Pour House was also extremely hospitable, and at the end of their meal had a big surprise for Lowry. They walked her family to the M&M store and treated Lowry to making her own custom M&Ms that she created with her photo, name, and image of Cinderella’s slipper. The family’s unforgettable meals were courtesy of both restaurants. Kids Wish Network also provided Domino’s gift cards.
Blue Tree Resort at Lake Buena Vista indulged Lowry’s family with spacious accommodations, providing them with a two-bedroom, two-bath suite complete with a kitchen. “The girls loved having their own big girl beds and their own bathroom,” said Lowry’s mom. “The staff was also super sweet.” The resort additionally gifted Lowry a gift basket brimming with her favorite things.
“The trip was amazing,” said Lowry’s mom to Kids Wish Network as she recalled all the meaningful moments. “Lowry did everything that she wanted to do because of everything that you did for us. It’s a trip that she’ll remember for life. We all will, it was pure joy for all of us.”
“We can’t thank you enough for working so hard on Lowry’s wish,” said her dad. “It was a dream trip. We’re extremely thankful and will relive it from here until forever.”
Lowry’s cancer journey began even before she was born when doctors found a tumor on her adrenal gland. She was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, and at 10 months old had surgery to remove the tumor. The cancer later spread to her liver. Lowry started a clinical trial and underwent 6 months of chemo.
Many Thanks
