It’s Finally Happening,Orlando Adventures Await!
HANSON, Mass. (April2023): Connor was the center of attention at the fire station where his dad works at, his loved ones and extended firefighter family watched as he opened a big gift box from Kids WishNetwork. Connor first opened the secret envelope that was tucked inside. As he silently read the letter to himself, his eyes widened and his mouth gaped open. “What is it buddy?” asked his mom, who played along, pretending not to know. “Read it,” prompted his sister who didn’t know and was in great suspense. He read the first line out loud, “Connor, your wish is coming true! Kids Wish Network is making your dream a reality.” He was amazed to find out his family will be traveling to Orlando and finally getting to experience Disney World, Universal Orlando and LEGOLAND! It’s going to be a trip of so many exciting firsts. Orlando adventures await!
Kids Wish Network is making it all possible by purchasing his family generous Delta gift cards for their flights, Hotels.com gift cards for their accommodations, and facilitating 2-day passes for Universal Orlando courtesy of the theme park, and 3-dayDisneyPark Hopper passes. Merlin’s Magic Wand is providing tickets for his family to visit LEGOLAND. Kids Wish Network is also providing Connor’s family with Domino’s gift cards, and the means to cover additional getaway incidentals. It’s going to be an amazing feeling for Connor when he’s actually experiencing all the places he’s only had the chance to live vicariously through others. Now it’s his turn, and he can’t wait!
Connor has lived most of his childhood coping with the challenges of epilepsy. He was diagnosed at the age of four, and by the age of five, his seizures progressed to 30 episodes a day. Medications helped to reduce his episodes. Unfortunately, over the years, his medications failed to work and he began having grand-mal seizures at school. He was once again taking multiple medications, and is currently under his doctor’s care attempting to lower his dose.
