Wish Kid to Experience Magic on the Sea, Destination Paradise

LA PORTE, Texas (March 2023): An explorer at heart, Evan hopes to experience new places outside of the landscapes he sees in his hometown. Evan has many dreams, like seeing“snowing” in Colorado, and the black and white sand beaches of Hawaii. He loves watching the travels of his favorite YouTuber, and now it’s Evan’s turn for his own adventure!

Kids Wish Network made his dream come true, purchasing generous Disney Cruise gift cards for Evan’s family to experience the magic on the sea, destination paradise! He’ll soon be anchors away sightseeing postcard-perfect ports of call.

Evan lives with the daily stress of trying not to injure himself. He has severe chronic immune thrombocytopenia, and when his blood platelets are low, the slightest bump of his head can cause a brain hemorrhage. He’s been in and out of the hospital and also undergoes weekly blood draws and monthly hematology visits. Medication helps to boost his platelets, but it also causes chronic leg pain along with many other challenging side effects.
