7-Year-Old Saves Sister from Vicious Dog Attack

Bridger is only seven years old, yet he is described as an old soul with compassion, courage and wisdom way beyond his years. He lives each day setting a good example for others, and one day his bravery was unexpectedly put to the test. Bridger and his sister were playing outside with friends when an aggressive dog charged at them. Bridger jumped in front of his sister to shield her from the attack, causing the dog to latch onto his cheek. Putting himself in harm’s way kept his sister safe; he was badly bitten and later underwent surgery involving more than 90 stitches. His parents recalled Bridger’s self-sacrificing words, “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.” Bridger demonstrated a selfless act of bravery and love. Kids Wish Network is proud to honor him as an inspiring super Hero.
