Young Patriot Receives an Exciting Wish at MacDill Air Force Base
Tampa, FL (April 30, 2022) – Seven-year-old Lennon has patriotic blood running through his veins. His father, John, was a Sr. Airman with Security Forces at MacDill Air Force Base, and his mother, Rachael, is a Technical Sergeant with the 45th AES Unit, currently deployed. Even at his young age, Lennon understands what it means to serve our country.
At this year’s MacDill Air Force Base Family Fun Day, Kids Wish Network gave Lennon the surprise of his life! The Wing Commander called Lennon to the stage during his opening remarks and presented him with his own Air Force OCP, donated by Aeromax Toys. He then received badges from the base’s division to add to his uniform and was given a challenge coin from the Commander. But the surprises didn’t stop there. President Trump sent Lennon a personalized letter, two signed hats, a snow globe, autographed playing cards, a key to the White House, an Air Force One plush, and a presidential challenge coin. Lennon’s one-of-kind gift will help him “aim high” as he continues his fight with Prolonged QT Syndrome, a heart rhythm condition that may trigger sudden fainting or seizures, and even stop Lennon’s breathing.
Kids Wish Network is honored to be a part of Lennon’s Wish to meet President Trump and support his patriotism. Through Project Toy Drop, Kids Wish Network was able to provide thousands of dollars in toys and over $11,000 in gift cards to families in attendance.
