Glen is described as “a survivor with a great attitude” by his Child Life Specialist Cindy Millardat Shriners Hospitals for Children–Portland. He’s continually challenged spending a lot of time in the hospital, yet he smiles bravely and uses humor to make his way through visits and treatments. Glen is only 4, yet understands and accepts medical necessity, undergoing over 30 surgical procedures. He pushes himself to keep up with his brother and loves fiercely.“Despite everything Glen has endured, he thrives and lives joyfully,” said Millard. “He is every bit a Hero.” She was so inspired by his positivity and nominated him to be recognized.
