Wish Kid Caught the Big One with Bass Pro Shopping Spree
CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (April 2024): Westin was at a baseball tournament surrounded by the support of his friends and teammates when his coach announced that Kids Wish Network was making his dream come true with a shopping spree at Bass Pro Shops. Kids Wish Network purchased Westin a generous Bass Pro gift card for a once-in-a-lifetime experience to shop for all the things he wished for. Walmart added sweet festivity to the reveal, donating a cake to celebrate the exciting news.
When Westin arrived at Bass Pro Shops in Clarksville, he was warmly greeted by staff who surprised him with a cake and Bass Pro swag. The general manager also met with Westin, and elevated his shopping spree with a special discount to turbo boost his extravagant gift card from Kids Wish Network. It was so surreal getting to shop for just about anything he wanted, and Westin filled up his cart with so much gear. His favorite pick was a Johnny Morris Big Caster rod and reel. It was a shopping spree like no other, it felt like he caught the big one!
“All of the employees went above and beyond and treated him special,” said his mom Mandy. “I loved seeing him happy, and him being able to pick out exactly what he wanted with this gift being long lasting.”
Westin has ulcerative colitis, and undergoes half-day infusions every other week. He also copes with additional medical complications.
