Hero is Determined and ‘Never Gives Up’

When Cooper was born, he wasn’t able to breathe and suffered a brain injury called HIE. He was on a ventilator, and there was very little hope he’d survive. Cooper surprised everyone and started breathing on his own. He’s been poked by countless needles for blood work, and doesn’t even flinch. Cooper has been through so much, and is still all smiles. “He is always giving us hope that the impossible is in fact possible,” said his Parent Consultant Stacy Mitchell at CRS in Anniston, Alabama. She nominated Cooper as a Hero. “He is a determined little boy who never gives up. When he was learning to walk last year, he would fall and get right back up and try again.” He even played baseball this year. Cooper is entering kindergarten as a special needs student. He has three siblings who adore him. “He is very friendly and loves to wave to everyone he sees,”said Mitchell. “He is the most loving and sweetest child.” Kids Wish Network is happy to award Cooper as a Hero of the Month.
