Siblings Uplift Family with Encouragement and Strength After Unthinkable Loss

Siblings Maleeka and Taye are facing the difficult loss of their adored sister.

Whenever Maleeka sees her parents crying or grieving, she stops what she’s doing and comforts them. She offers words of encouragement and love, and displays bravery and compassion. She is caring, kind and empathetic. She understands the gravity of the loss, yet still has the courage to uplift her family even though she is feeling the same devastation.

Taye has also gone out of his way to comfort his parents. He is brave, compassionate, caring, loving, shows emotional strength, and is far beyond his age. Taye has been monumental to his family during their most difficult time. He is always willing to help around the house, and is a great listener.

Maleeka and Taye’s parents are inspired by their courage and strength. Kids Wish Network honored the siblings through its Hero of the Month program, sending them each a special gift package to help brighten their days.
