Siblings Nurture and Support Mom Throughout Cancer Journey

Siblings Katie and Evan have been so supportive of their mom throughout her cancer journey. Katie was almost 3 when I was diagnosed with cancer. Most of her life, she has seen me battle this. She is so very kind and brave, and is always willing to help me without even asking. She’s always helping her teachers and classmates or even friends. She loves to bring joy and happiness to everyone around her, and her smile can light up a room. I am so grateful to call her my daughter. Katie is the best sister and daughter anyone could ask for. She is an amazing little girl, and I’m so proud of her.

I was pregnant with my son when I was first diagnosed with cancer. Evan is one of the bravest kids I have ever known. When my hair fell out, he sat in the chair next to me and smiled as we both got haircuts. He gives me daily hugs, and tells me that he loves me. He also kept a positive attitude with his own medical challenges. He is still a happy go lucky child and will support or cheer anyone on. That’s what he’s done for me throughout this entire journey. Evan is very kind and loves everyone. He is always willing to help with anything he can. He is a little miracle, and I believe he helped to save my life.
