Shopping Spree Wish fills up cart and heart with joy

POUNDING MILL, Va. (November 2023): Jensen had no idea that something incredible was about to happen at the Bradshaw Fall Festival. He’s a big fan of wrestling, and felt like the main attraction at the festival’s show when he was called into the ring for some amazing news. The city’s mayor announced that Kids Wish Network was making Jensen’s dream come true, giving him on a once-in-a-lifetime shopping spree at his favorite store! Being able to splurge on all the things he wished for was something that he never could have imagined for himself.

When he arrived at Walmart in Pounding Mill, the store manager greeted him with cupcakes, a Walmart hat, pins and a decorated cart for the most fun and memorable shopping spree of his dreams. Jensen even had his own personal shopper, but admittedly had no problem filling up his cart with all the things he’d been longing for. Some of his favorite picks were a light up speaker, gaming chair, and electric dirt bike. He also bought WWE Figures, a PS5 controller, PS5 games, Pokeman cards, remote control cars, a dirt bike helmet and more. Kids Wish Network and Walmart teamed up to make his very special wish happen.

Jensen was then treated to his favorite meal, chicken wings at Buffalo Wild Wings in Bristol. The restaurant provided his lunch, gifted him swag and a gift card to come back.

It was a surreal and amazing day. Jensen said the best part was “all of it!”

His mom’s favorite memory was seeing him pick out all the toys he’s been wanting for so long. Before his wish, it just wasn’t a possible. She is so appreciative for Jensen’s once-in-a-lifetime experience.

There was also another surprise for Jensen. He went on another mini-shopping spree at his other favorite store, with a gift card donated by Target in Bristol.

Jensen has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a condition that causes progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. He’s been falling down more frequently, and his illness also caused additional complications including cardiomyopathy.
