Texas Boy Lands on Santa’s Nice List

MCKINNEY, Texas (December 2020): Mr. and Mrs. Claus knew how good Mikeal had been all year, and happily took time away from their workshop to visit him at his house. “Santa!” burst out Mikeal and his siblings who had no idea of his early arrival. After showing Mikeal that he made the nice list, Santa also shared that Kids Wish Network was making his dream come true! Kids Wish knows how much he loves shopping at Walmart, and purchased him a Walmart gift card loaded with lots of spending money for everything on his wish list. When he found out how much he had to spend, his mouth gaped open in wonder. Mikeal threw his arms up in the air and excitedly yelled, “Oh my gosh! Thank you!!!” His siblings shared in his joy and were also glad to be on Santa’s nice list. “It was amazing seeing Mikeal so excited and happy, and a great experience for our entire family,” said his mom Jessica. “We’re so appreciative of you making his wish come true and for making him feel extra special. We have memories to last a lifetime.”

Mikeal has epilepsy with unpredictable seizures, so after having to give up playing sports, his next surprise was extra meaningful. He’d soon be receiving a special package from his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys, including a football personally signed to him by each member of the team, a Cowboys shirt, and lots of team swag.

“We’re so happy we could fill his wish with so many surprises and give him an extra special holiday this year,” said his Wish Coordinator Kim Kreiner.
