Project Toy Drop Delivers Holiday Magic to Maxwell Air Force Base

“I’d personally like to thank Kids Wish Network for providing our community with Project Toy Drop… the event exceeded our expectations.”

MONTGOMERY, AL. (January 2018): Children’s charity Kids Wish Network brought its 19th Project Toy Drop to Maxwell Air Force Base on December 9. The holiday-themed event sparkled with joy and cheer. Kids Wish Network donated a retail value of $286,000 in new toys, educational products, games, clothing, and other items to children of military families. Gift stations brimming with stacks of fun merchandise created wonder and excitement as kids went from table to table, filling big bags with all their favorite things.

“I’d personally like to thank Kids Wish Network for providing our community with Project Toy Drop,” said Maxwell Air Force Base Violence Prevention Integrator and Green Dot Program Manager Cynthia M. Cuppernell. “Despite the challenge of weather, the event was successful and exceeded our expectations.”

Starting as a wish-granting organization that creates memorable wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses, Kids Wish Network has expanded over the years to include additional programs. Project Toy Drop travels the country, creating miles of smiles for deserving children ages 3-16 who are either kids of American servicemen and women or at-risk youth facing significant challenges.

“We’re so honored to be able to give back to the military who make multiple sacrifices in protecting our country and freedom,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai. “During the holidays, our Project Toy Drop events take on even more meaning. Many military families are not able to be together because a parent is deployed. These special events deliver joy and holiday cheer at a time when these kids need it the most.”

Central Transport continued their support of Project Toy Drop, donating their services in transporting all of the merchandise from Florida to Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama.
