Project Toy Drop Supports The Orlando Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program Event
ORLANDO, Fla. (March 2018): Members of Kids Wish Network’s Project Toy Drop team were honored to attend the military’s Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) event beginning March 16 in Orlando, Florida. The event supported members of the United States Air Force Reserve in all stages of the deployment process. Project Toy Drop further showed its support to military families, donating electronic tablets, toys, and educational items to appreciate all the sacrifices they selflessly make to protect our country and freedom. Over 200 families attended.
The YRRP is a Department of Defense wide-effort that promotes the well-being of National Guard and Reserve members, their families, and communities, by connecting them with resources throughout the deployment cycle.
“We’re so honored to have Project Toy Drop participating in such an admirable program that helps military members with resources who bravely serve our country,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai. “We greatly look forward to providing our continued support to the program’s ongoing events.”
Starting as a wish-granting organization that creates memorable wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses, Kids Wish Network has expanded over the years to include additional programs. Project Toy Drop travels the country, creating miles of smiles for deserving children ages 3-16 who are either kids of American servicemen and women or at-risk youth facing significant challenges. This program creates a special day of unity that brings happiness and hope to many children and their families.
