Paige Perseveres Through Lingering Bone Infection
Paige’s osteomyelitis wasn’t responding to procedures and treatments. She underwent a sedated MRI and was later admitted to the hospital for treatment and surgery. After being discharged, she had a bad reaction to medication and returned to the hospital for a PICC line placement. It was a lot for this little girl to endure. Throughout the process, she faced a lot of fears and pushed through all of the painful and invasive procedures. Paige kept a positive attitude and learned coping skills to reach her goals. Her Child Life Specialist, Stephanie McNaughton at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN, was inspired by her sunny outlook and determination to heal. Kids Wish Network is happy to award Paige as a brave hero!
