Magic, Cars and Fire Trucks are What Birthday Dreams are Made of

CANTON, Ohio (August 2023): Malik enjoyed a special afternoon at the Canton City Fire Department. Firefighters and Battalion Chief Nick Lombardi gave him a special tour that included him sitting in a firetruck with sirens blaring overhead, a sound that is music to his ears. Malik’s excitement continued with the real reason he was there. Battalion Chief Lombardi surprised him with the incredible news that Kids Wish Network was making his dream come true. He and his family are going to Disney World, Universal Studios and LEGOLAND! Kids Wish Network purchased Pack & Go gift cards for their traveling needs, the means for their trip’s incidentals, and will be facilitating passes for Disney, Universal Orlando courtesy of Universal, and admission to LEGOLAND provided by Merlin’s Magic Wand. 

To make it even more special, Malik will be celebrating his birthday at Disney World, often referred to as The Most Magical Place on Earth. He loves cars and trucks, and is so excited to see his favorite character Lightning McQueen at Hollywood Studios, among all the other captivating shows and attractions he’ll be experiencing on his wish. It’s a trip of a lifetime, and will create treasured family memories celebrating Malik.

Before Malik was even a year old, he began having seizures. Over the years they became more severe reaching a turning point. After having multiple episodes in a day, he was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with focal epilepsy. Malik takes medications, and continues to see a neurologist.
