DELLWOOD, MO. (May 2017): Kids Wish Network brought its 15th Holiday of Hope On Tour event to the Dellwood, MO, community on May 6, distributing over $205,000 worth of new toys, educational items, games, and other necessities to local children in need. Kids Wish Network united with the City of Dellwood for this special event bringing together city and county officials, firefighters, and community volunteers to bring happiness, joy, and hope to children while also fostering better relationships within the community.

Starting as a wish-granting organization that creates memorable wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses, Kids Wish Network has expanded over the years to include additional programs that enable them to reach out to even more children in need of something special in their lives.

The Holiday of Hope On Tour program helps at-risk children facing life-altering challenges such as abuse, neglect, illness, homelessness, and/or poverty experience the magic of giving. During the event, local city and county officials, firefighters, and police officers become active participants in handing out gift items and meeting the kids and their families, creating positive relationships.

“The City of Dellwood is happy to host Kids Wish Network’s Holiday of Hope On Tour event here in our city,” said Public Services Director Marvin Crumer. “It’s significant and beneficial for our city and especially our youth, who in a lot of circumstances do not get just to be kids, having a lot of adult responsibilities. Kids Wish Network has allowed us to positively celebrate our children. This is a great event for our city, our kids, and our community.”

On behalf of the City of Dellwood, Mayor Reggie Jones also presented Kids Wish Network with a special proclamation, recognizing May 6, 2017, as Kids Wish Network Holiday of Hope On Tour Day.

Mayor Jones said, “I want all citizens to be aware of this most worthwhile organization and join me in thanking all of those involved for their efforts and contributions to our children and their families.”

“We’re so honored to be a part of such a magical event that not only provides happiness to deserving children, but also creates such positivity bringing support, hope, and favorable role models to create a brighter tomorrow,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Anna Lanzatella. “When goodness is shared, it multiplies and greatly impacts others. We’re so appreciative to all the caring people who helped make our event in Dellwood such a success!”

Kids Wish Network would like to thank the City of Dellwood, Mayor Reggie Jones, and Metro North Fire Department for their participation and support. And special appreciation to Public Services Director Marvin Crumer for going above and beyond in helping orchestrate this extraordinary event, and Central Transport for their continued partnership and generosity in delivering miles of smiles to deserving children throughout the country.

Also, much gratitude to Baileys’ Range, Hard Rock Café -St. Louis, Papa John’s Pizza, St. Louis Union Station Hotel, and Starbucks #27777 for their kindness and hospitality.
