Hero Saves Mother’s Life with Quick and Calm Response

Peyton called for emergency help for her mother who was in severe anaphylactic shock from a new medication. Her mother was unable to speak due to the reaction because her tongue, throat and airway were swollen and closing fast. Peyton took her mother’s cell phone, unlocked it with the passcode, and was able to call her father for help who was working out of town. Peyton was then able to tell the paramedics that she just had surgery. She also helped when the neighbor arrived to help her younger sister. She was able to remain calm and do the correct things. Peyton was taught from a very young age what to do in an emergency situation. Had Peyton not responded the way she did, this outcome could have been very different. 

Peyton is in second grade. She is always wanting to help her friends, teachers, classmates and anyone that needs it.
