Florida Wish Feels Like Sunshine, Continues as Happy Memories
TAMPA, Fla. (May 2024): Jaymaysin had a blast at Urban Air Trampoline & Adventure Park in Appleton, Wisconsin, and his excitement was further elevated finding out about his big surprise. They revealed that Kids Wish Network was making his dream come true with a getaway to Tampa, Florida for a tropical and thrilling adventure to Clearwater Beach, Busch Gardens and Universal Studios! Urban Air & Trampoline Park celebrated Jaymaysin’s wish coming true, providing his family with Platinum tickets, and a gift card to return for even more fun.
Kids Wish Network flew Jaymaysin and his family to Tampa. His first coastal dining experience was at Crabby’s Bar & Grill, located on Clearwater Beach’s pristine Beach Walk with stunning views and festive tropical vibes. They found out about his interests before his visit, and kindly gifted him a Kansas City Chiefs shirt and POP! Football Patrick Mahomes figurine. His family’s meals were also courtesy of the restaurant. It was a memorable introduction to Florida life, and the first of many personalized experiences that made Jaymaysin feel special.
The next day his family enjoyed Universal, exploring its thrilling rides, shows and imaginative worlds. He especially loved Hogwart’s Express, the themed train that connects the Harry Potter lands at Universal and Islands of Adventure. Dinner that night was at Ford’s Garage, and they also treated him as a treasured guest with attentive kindness, and a gift bucket of Ford’s Garage swag. His family’s meals were also provided by the restaurant.
Busch Gardens was full of new adventures with its rides and exotic animals, he especially loved the alligators and penguins. Then it was back to Clearwater Beach to experience the sugar white sand, sunny skies, palm trees and playing in the ocean for the first time. That night, dinner was compliments of American Social, picturesquely located on Harbour Island with views of the waterfront and downtown Tampa skyline.
Jaymaysin’s family stayed at the chic Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown, near the Tampa Riverwalk. One of his favorite features was the elevated pool with views of the surrounding skyscrapers. The hotel generously donated their beautiful accommodations and complimentary breakfasts.
“He enjoyed something being done specifically for himself, and that people were all gathering around for him,” said his older sister Brandi. “He loved being able to travel, and it was nice to see him smile.”
Jaymaysin has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition that affects the left ventricle, the main pumping chamber of the heart. He’s currently on medication, however over time the heart can’t take in or pump out enough blood during each heartbeat to supply the body’s needs. He’s currently being monitored, and is expected to need a defibrillator in a few years.
