ORLANDO, Fla. (June 2022): Demi is enchanted with all things Disney. She especially adores the princesses, their songs, and dressing up to feel like one. Demi dreamed about seeing Cinderella’s castle and is so excited that her fairytale wish is coming true.

Kids Wish Network surprised her with generous Disney gift cards for park tickets, dining, souvenirs, and more, as well as Pack& Go gift cards that her family can use for airfare, fuel, food, and accommodations for travel. Demi’s Florida adventure will be even more than she imagined. Her family will also be going to Universal Orlando, courtesy of the theme park, and LEGOLAND with tickets provided by Merlin’s Magic Wand. Demi’s fairytale wish will be a very special time of family togetherness.

Before Demi’s diagnosis, her abdomen began swelling. Testing revealed the unthinkable. Demi had Wilms’ tumor, a type of kidney cancer in children. The following week she underwent a six-and-a-half-hour surgery to remove the solid mass and her non-functioning kidney, along with the insertion of a port. Shortly after, Demi needed additional surgery for her port and went through chemotherapy.
