EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah (August 2024): Atlore was making his usual rounds riding the elevators at his favorite store Cabela’s in Lehi, Utah. He beamed with a giddy exuberance. Atlore had no idea that his day was about to get even more thrilling. Just steps away from his adored elevators, he quickly became the center of attention with a special store announcement. A staffer revealed that Kids Wish Network was making Atlore’s dream come true, sending his family to Disneyland, Universal and LEGOLAND! Cabela’s was so happy to share Atlore’s incredible news, and further surprised him with a bouquet of balloons and gift basket filled with his favorite snacks, a large plush sea turtle, camo blanket, and Cabela’s hats. His reveal was an exhilarating whirl of excitement. And just like his fun afternoon began, the celebration was complete with another ride up the elevator.

Atlore’s much-needed getaway was full of adventure and meaningful family memories. A highlight of his trip was two special meet and greets with Mater in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park, and Goofy and Pluto at Disneyland in Toontown.

“It was so fun, and we are incredibly grateful.” said his mom Jori. “It was so magical and he loved every second!”

At 6 months old, Atlore began regressing. He didn’t want to eat, had respiratory issues, seizure like activity and stopped meeting his milestones. Atlore’s diagnosis is called chromosomal deletion syndrome, leading to a variety of medical issues. He copes with developmental delay, has chronic lung disease, and severe GI complications, needing a G-tube for nutrition. He undergoes physical, occupational, speech and horse therapies, and sees a variety of specialists.
