MULLICA HILL, N.J. (JULY 2023): Mackenzie struggles with chronic nonbacterial osteomyelitis, a rare inflammatory condition that brought on debilitating pain, making it difficult for her to walk. She’s undergone physical therapy, weekly chemotherapy, and monthly infusions. Over time, Mackenzie’s maintenance medication became ineffective after her body developed antibodies to it. She’s at risk for a large vertebral collapse, with the possibility of becoming paralyzed. She’s already been through a scare with a small vertebral collapse, experiencing a code blue at the hospital. Mackenzie’s struggles continue. Further testing revealed she also has a blood disorder. Having something special to look forward to was just what she needed.

Mackenzie no longer had to just dream about her ultimate getaway. Kids Wish Network made all the enchantment of a Disney Cruise possible with generous Disney gift cards for her family to sail away to her destination of choice. Mackenzie’s magical adventures await! She’s so excited for her upcoming cruise when they’re able to travel.

Until then, Mackenzie also received something else to keep her happily distracted. Kids Wish Network gifted her a beautiful new iPad.
