Hero Pushes Through Pain, Fear and Surgeries with Grace

My daughter was born with clubfoot, arthritis in her knees, and was premature. She had many years of “serial casting” and was scared of the sound of the cast saw, but she always fought through the fear with grace. She underwent several surgeries, and I promised I wouldn’t put her through this any longer, but she said, “Dad, I know you just want the best for me.” Kylie just completed her fourth surgery. She’s always had some casting, surgery, or crutches every year of school, but never ever complained. Kylie has also experienced traumatic loss. She is very gentle, empathetic, and concerned about others.

“This little girl has changed my heart and soul,” said her dad who nominated her. “This beautiful hero just fights every day of her life with grace.”  Kids Wish Network is grateful to honor and award Kylie as a Hero.
