Tyler was born with a genetic nerve disorder and also struggled with additional health complications. When he was three, he underwent surgery for a partial foot amputation. A few years later, Tyler was still trying to cope with pain and discomfort and needed a revision surgery with further amputation. He then faced challenges adapting to his prosthetic. More than anyone, Tyler’smom knows all that he endured, and she’s amazed by his courage, resilience, and inner strength. He doesn’t let his condition hold him back and even aspires to be a police officer when he grows up. Tyler is also a great helper with his younger brothers. He was nominated by his mom who is so proud of how he continues to handle his challenges. Kids Wish Network is happy to reward Tyler as a Hero.

Kids Wish Network has been making dreams come true for children since 1997. We are dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children experiencing life-altering situations. We started with the single purpose of granting wishes to children suffering from life-threatening conditions but have since created additional programs to benefit kids nationwide, including Hero of the Month, Project Toy Drop, Holiday of Hope Gift Banks, and A Child Forever Funeral Assistance.
