Ryan is an intelligent 15-year-old who is battling a life-threatening condition called Steroid Dependent Ulcerative Colitis. This is a serious condition that affects the body’s intestines and causes severe pain, loss of weight, dehydration and even blood loss.
Ryan had an amazing time on her Hawaiian vacation! She visited many sites including the Pearl Harbor Memorial, the Polynesian Cultural Center and even Sea Life Park where she got to swim with dolphins and the world’s only wolphin (half whale, half dolphin) in captivity! Ryan’s wish trip was just what she needed and she said she had an amazing time!

Name: Liam
Age: 4

Liam is a 4-year-old who loves the color yellow. He likes to watch “Little Bear” and his favorite movies are “Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakquel” and “Shrek.” Liam likes to play with electronics, especially his V-Tech and Leap Frog Books. Recently, he has been working on his alphabet and also enjoys flashcards. His favorite thing to do is play with action figures and toy characters.
Liam was born at 27-weeks and spent the first 3 and a half months in the hospital. Liam is a triplet and he, along with one of his siblings, was born with Cerebral Palsy. Liam is immobile and must use a stander, specialized chair or gait trainer for mobility. He is totally dependent upon his parents for all his basic needs. A simple cold will usually land Liam in the hospital, as it goes straight to his lungs. To date, he has had two eye surgeries and will have another one very soon. Liam has to take various meds to maintain his illness, including medication for low muscle tone.
When it came time for Liam to decide what his wish would be, he said he wanted to go to Disney Land in California. Get ready to have an exciting time, Liam, because you are getting your wish!

Name: Nathan

Nathan is a loveable 10-year-old boy who enjoys listening to country music and watching shows about monster trucks and racing. His favorite color is orange and he likes to play video games and his guitar. He has two pets: a cat named Abbey and a bird named Frosty. Nathan’s favorite subject in school is science.
In April of 2000, Nathan was diagnosed with a life-threatening condition known as Shone’s Syndrome. This is a condition that affects the heart and causes several severe defects including obstructing the flow of blood to his heart. Nathan has had various heart surgeries in his 10 years, including an aortic valve replacement. His very first open heart surgery was done when Nathan was just 3-days-old. Recently, an external pacemaker was used to help regulate his heart, but after two scares of the battery dying and his heart stopping, an internal pacemaker has been implanted and is finally functioning properly. He still must be monitored and has to do activities that will not easily exert him.
For his wish, Nathan said that he would like to travel to Florida and visit Disney World. Hope you are ready to have some fun, Nathan, because you are getting your wish!

Name: Andrew

Andrew is a caring, trustworthy 13-year-old who likes listening to music. He loves watching basketball and baseball on TV and his favorite teams are the Pistons and the Tigers. Andrew has two dogs and a pet lizard and his favorite subject in school is math.
When he was 5-years-old, Andrew was diagnosed with a Platelet Function Defect. His mother noticed at a young age that something wasn’t right, as he often had very severe nose bleeds. Upon initial testing when Andrew was a year old, doctors did not find anything wrong. But around the time Andrew was 3-years-old, he had a nose bleed so severe that is lasted for two days and young Andrew almost bled to death. It was then that doctors confirmed that he had a bleeding disorder. The illness causes Andrew to have very large blood clots and he is also easily prone to tears in his ligaments. Although Andrew has a strong passion for sports, he must watch from the sidelines due to his illness.
When asked what his wish is, Andrew decided he would like his very own Xbox 360 so he could play various sports games. Get ready to be part of the game, Andrew, because you are getting your wish!

Name: Nickolas
Age: 18

Nickolas is a friendly teen who loves to write, solve simple math problems and play with his Mr. Potato Head toy. His favorite color is green and he also enjoys watching “The Doodlebops” and “Spongebob Squarepants” on TV.
When he was born, Nickolas was diagnosed with DiGeorge syndrome. This is a rare congenital disease whose symptoms vary greatly between individuals but commonly include a history of recurrent infection and heart defects. Nickolas has already endured three open heart surgeries as well as an emergency stomach surgery. He sometimes requires a wheelchair for mobility and is fed via feeding tube. In addition, Nickolas also suffers from scoliosis and developmental delays. Because of his range of conditions, he cannot speak, is hearing impaired and sometimes requires a ventilator to breathe.
For his wish, Nickolas wants a Nintendo Wii to play games on. Get ready for some interactive fun, Nickolas, because your wish is about to come true!
