In November of 2004, Amanda was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. This condition leads to high blood pressure in the arteries that supply the lungs with blood. People suffering from PHT often experience fatigue, dizziness and shortness of breath. Amanda tires easily and is unable to engage in any type of rigorous physical activity. She is also on daily medications and must be monitored closely by her doctors.
