Last Friday, we had another People Map Meeting. It is a time when we learn new things about our own personalities and the personalities of our co-workers. I find this incredibly interesting. The different groups include “people,” “free spirit,” “task,” and “leader.” We learned what each group struggles with and what each group excels in, personality-wise. After trying to figure out what my own “Achilles’ Heel” was, we got together in our specific groups.
I was in the “free spirit” group J We had to come up with different ways we would want someone to deal with a person with our “type” of qualities. It was fun because we came up with silly, fun ways to approach us and reward us in a workplace situation. Apparently we “free spirits” enjoy candy and praise, shiny things and money. (You can see we tend to not take things mega-seriously) Best part of the whole thing was trying to come up with songs to explain our “type.” We came up with “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”, “Free Fallin”, and “Party in the USA”. So, I recommend that if you would like to take a walk in the shoes of a “free spirit,” just chill, sit back, and just enjoy the “short” ride!
