The honorees of this program are children between the ages of 3 and 18 who have faced and overcome difficult circumstances, often enduring a great deal of pain and suffering. Although their young lives are changed forever, their courage and spirit serve as an inspiration to us all.
Hospitals and child care facilities throughout the entire country participate in this program by nominating one child every month for the entire year. The nominee becomes their “Hero of the Month”. Kids Wish Network then recognizes the child as that facility’s Hero of the Month.
The Hero of the Month is awarded with special gifts and a prepaid gift card. Paying tribute to these children’s ability to overcome adversity can make a real and positive difference in their recovery.
Pediatric facilities nationwide tout this program for its ability to positively impact the lives of the children, as well as the caregivers’ lives.
