Natasha is a friendly, outgoing 14-year-old who gets along with everyone. She is a big fan of Johnny Depp and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies. Natasha enjoys doing mild yoga and collecting paper fans. Her favorite subject is art and she loves the color gray.
About three years ago, Natasha was constantly having body aches. She developed many colds and even lost the hearing in one ear. A visit to the emergency room and a prescription of antibiotics did not fix the problem. After a spinal tap and a series of tests, Natasha was diagnosed with Lupus in March of 2009. Lupus is an inflammatory disease in which the body’s immune system attacks the tissues and organs. It can affect many different body systems such as the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, heart and lungs. Natasha has very high blood pressure, and because of this, takes medicines to help regulate it. More recently, Natasha was hospitalized for two weeks where she received a daily IV treatment to help control a flare-up of her condition. She has to continually be checked, as the medicine she takes could affect her vision.
For her one wish, Natasha decided she wanted to travel to Florida to visit the many theme parks located in the state. We hope you are excited, Natasha, because you are getting your wish!

Name: Liam
Age: 4

Liam is a 4-year-old who loves the color yellow. He likes to watch “Little Bear” and his favorite movies are “Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakquel” and “Shrek.” Liam likes to play with electronics, especially his V-Tech and Leap Frog Books. Recently, he has been working on his alphabet and also enjoys flashcards. His favorite thing to do is play with action figures and toy characters.
Liam was born at 27-weeks and spent the first 3 and a half months in the hospital. Liam is a triplet and he, along with one of his siblings, was born with Cerebral Palsy. Liam is immobile and must use a stander, specialized chair or gait trainer for mobility. He is totally dependent upon his parents for all his basic needs. A simple cold will usually land Liam in the hospital, as it goes straight to his lungs. To date, he has had two eye surgeries and will have another one very soon. Liam has to take various meds to maintain his illness, including medication for low muscle tone.
When it came time for Liam to decide what his wish would be, he said he wanted to go to Disney Land in California. Get ready to have an exciting time, Liam, because you are getting your wish!

Name: Chelsea
Age: 7

Chelsea is a sweet little 7-year-old with a love of all sorts of cartoons. She collects stuffed animals and she’s also very interested in nature. Chelsea’s favorite activities are playing with her toys and doing arts and crafts.
When she was 9-months-old, Chelsea was diagnosed with having a chromosomal abnormality that caused a range of different problems for the infant. In addition, Chelsea also suffers from a cleft palate, autism and a curvature of the spine called scoliosis. When she was 3-years-old, Chelsea stopped eating and her large intestine ceased functioning so her doctors inserted a feeding tube so that she could get nourishment. A year later, her stomach motility stopped and she had to have a port installed in order to flush her system out every other day. Currently, Chelsea has undergone 30 surgeries, including her most recent to correct an abnormality in her feet called congenital vertical talus; this surgery put pins in her feet, left her in leg braces and has also made her somewhat reliant on a wheelchair for long distance mobility.
For her wish, Chelsea wants to meet her favorite Disney Princess, Cinderella! Get out your magic wand, Chelsea, because you are about to meet the princess at her Florida “home” in Walt Disney World!

Name: Jeffery
Age: 14

Jeffery is an energetic boy with a playful personality who loves playing games of all sorts. He really enjoys watching wrestling, especially when John Cena is in the ring, listening to music and singing. Jeffery also loves reading comic books and cheering for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team.
When he was just 5-months-old, Jeffery was diagnosed with having Cerebral Palsy and Lesch Nyhan Syndrome. Cerebral Palsy is a group of disorders that affect both brain and nervous system functions, while Lesch Nyhan Syndrome is a rare inherited disorder that causes kidney problems, poor muscle control, and developmental delays. Because of his conditions, Jeffery cannot walk, is confined to a wheelchair and must wear a leg brace.
For his wish, Jeffery would like to play games on his very own Xbox 360. Get ready, Jeffery, because your wish is about to come true!

Ebonnyse is an outgoing 9-year-old who loves Tinker Bell. She is a fan of Justin Beiber and Miley Cyrus and enjoys spending time with her dog, Betty. Ebonnyse likes to watch volleyball on TV and play games on her computer. She also enjoys reading a good book.
At less than one month of age, little Ebonnyse was diagnosed with a life-threatening condition called Sickle Cell Disease. This is a devastating and debilitating illness that affects the blood and causes serious episodes of pain. When she was about 1-year-old, Ebonnyse had her spleen removed, and because of this, she gets sick very easily. She has had many blood transfusions in her short life and will continue to need more. Her illness requires constant attention, as it can lead to blood clots, strokes, comas and even organ failure.
When it came time for Ebonnyse to decide what she wanted for her wish, the choice was simple. She wants to spend time at the happiest place on Earth: Disney World! We hope you are excited, Ebonnyse, because you are getting your wish!
