Kids Wish Network…where dreams really do come true!

Since 1997, Kids Wish Network has been making dreams come true for thousands of children all over the country. The charity started out with the single purpose of granting wishes to children suffering with life-threatening conditions. Since then we have created numerous programs benefiting kids nationwide. The catalyst for launching these programs began when it became clear to us that the children we serve demonstrated needs above and beyond the extent of wishes.

Our History: A Promise That Started It All

In 1989 my father was diagnosed with cancer and I frequently accompanied him to his chemotherapy treatments. During these visits, I regularly encountered young cancer patients. I simply could not imagine the pain and sorrow associated with watching these children such debilitating and often excruciating treatments. As a mother of three, housewife, and business owner, I had always dreamed of someday having the ability to make a difference in the lives of children in need. At that point, I vowed I would dedicate myself to making a difference in the lives of sick children and their families. After my father passed away, I convinced my husband to sell our business to make good on my promise.

In 1997, my dream became a reality with the founding of Kids Wish Network. We realized other wish-granting organizations existed, but we had ideas for important programs and services not being offered by other charities. Within a few short years, the programs we had created were in such demand that Kids Wish Network became national in scope.

I am truly blessed that my dream has brought joy to thousands of very sick children and as we continue our journey, I will do my best to seek out new and innovative programs to ease the suffering these brave little children and their families face, each and every day.

Each and every day we are moved by the stories of thousands of children and their families all across America. The children we are so privileged to serve come from all corners of the country and from all different backgrounds and circumstances, but they all have one thing in common: they have faced some incredible challenges in their brief lives, and they are in desperate need of hope to get through their difficult times.

It is our promise to fulfill and touch these little hearts that deserve some much needed comfort and joy.

Our dedication and commitment to these children is what drives us to continue to grow and expand. We promise to continue developing even more innovative and critically needed programs to help them.

Whether a child is waiting for his or her wish, or is bravely clutching a toy from our Gift Bank to help bear the pain of stinging needles, we know that our mission is to further our efforts in bringing smiles to these courageous faces. We promise to celebrate these precious lives with hope!
