HOLIDAY, Fla. (Jan. 18, 2016): National children’s charity Kids Wish Network was honored to be chosen as the recipient of global doughnut company and coffeehouse chain Dunkin’ Donuts’ fundraising efforts in 19 of its stores from the Tampa, FL, area.
Kids Wish Network is a national charitable organization dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children having experienced life-altering situations. One of its longest-standing programs is granting wishes to children with life threatening illnesses. The donations from guests and employees from the participating Dunkin’ Donuts will go towards fulfilling the dreams of three Wish Kids.
For every bulk item (a dozen of donuts, pound of coffee, K-Cup carton, Box of Joe, Cake) sold on December 23rd, Clearwater Donut Network donated $1 to Kids Wish Network. Crew members at each location were encouraged to pull their tips for a donation that Dunkin’ Donuts matched dollar for dollar. Additionally, all Dunkin’ Donuts customers were invited to donate to Kids Wish Network.
“We were honored to be able to help Kid’s Wish Network fulfill the wishes of three children this holiday season. As a company, we really believe it is our responsibility to give back to the community, and we are so gracious that our employees and guests can make such an impact for a different cause each and every month,” said Erin Sheerin, Marketing Manager of Purple Square Management Co.
“Kids Wish Network is grateful to receive the support of Dunkin’ Donuts in order to turn fantasy into reality for our Wish Kids,” said Anna Lanzatella, Executive Director of Kids Wish Network.
Kids Wish Network would like to thank the guests and employees of Dunkin’ Donuts for their participation and generous donations.
