Shriners Hospitals for Children- Cincinnati, OH
When Cynthia was only 6 months old, she was caught in a dangerous house fire. She suffered burns on over 70% of her body and has grown up adapting to the impact of the injury, dealing with scars, the amputations of her fingers, and a permanent loss of a large amount of her hair. This would be rough on any child, but 6-year-old Cynthia handles everything with grace.
She just started kindergarten and loves going to school. She enjoys playing dress up with her dolls and making everyone smile.
Cynthia has faced many other challenges in her life beyond her burns and truly deserves to be recognized as the brave, beautiful hero she is!
