At the age of two, Jazzlene was diagnosed with Williams syndrome, a rare neurodevelopmental disorder that causes various health and developmental problems, including narrowed blood vessels, excessive calcium deposits in the kidneys, developmental delays, feeding problems, muscle stiffness and high blood pressure. Jazzlene deals daily with stiffness in her joints and endures physical and occupational therapy sessions every week. She recently underwent an eye surgery and she must visit the doctor every six months for a check-up on her heart functions.
Jazzlene had always dreamed of meeting Mickey Mouse, and that’s just what she did during her wish trip to Walt Disney World! Kids Wish Network sent Jazzlene and her family to Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Epcot.
Jazzlene’s favorite experience was meeting Mickey Mouse in person. Though shy at first, Jazzlene quickly warmed up to her favorite Disney character and couldn’t resist giving him a hug. Now that she’s home, Jazzlene delights in re-living her wish through the family’s many pictures.
