When Tyler was four years old, he was diagnosed with epilepsy, just like his older brother. Up until recently, Tyler was only having partial, or petit mal, seizures. However, recently began suffering full-on convulsive grand mal seizures from both sides of his brain. Tyler has now endured a surgery to implant a vagus nerve stimulator to help treat his seizures and is also on three different medications to help treat his condition, although his speech and motor skills are slowing down.
For his wish, Tyler was able to enjoy an amazing trip to Orlando, Florida with his family. He, his brother, and his parents had a great time riding rides and seeing shows at all four Disney World parks, Universal Studios, and Universal Studios’ Islands of Adventure. Tyler’s favorite part of his whole wish was enjoying the “rock star” treatment at the Universal Studios parks, where he received a “gold pass” to go to the front of every line and be treated to special backstage access at different shows and rides!
