Stuart is a bright little 7-year-old who loves basketball and listening to the music of his idol, Justin Bieber. In fact, his favorite possessions are his purple high top sneakers, just like the ones Justin Bieber wears. Stuart’s favorite school subject is math and he’s very interested in learning. According to Stuart, “I am very smart and know my times tables to twelve!”
Just last year, Stuart was involved in a car accident. When he was taken to the hospital, he was unresponsive and doctors thought he was not going to pull through. Luckily, Stuart proved everyone wrong. However, Stuart was now a quadriplegic. He endured a surgery to fuse his cervical spine, as well as a surgery to insert a feeding tube and a trach tube for breathing. Stuart now works with a physical therapist and a respiratory therapist, but he requires 24-hour care.
