Kyle is a lovable 3-year-old who loves Spiderman, Lightning McQueen, Buzz Lightyear and, of course, Mickey Mouse. His favorite toys to play with are his toy cars and trains and his favorite game is hide-and-seek. Kyle enjoys singing “Pop! Goes the Weasel” and “Five Little Monkeys,” and his favorite foods are pizza and French fries.
When he was just two weeks old, Kyle’s doctor told his mother that he had a rare condition called methylmalonic academia. This is an inherited metabolic disorder in which the body cannot break down certain proteins which build up and attack the body’s major organs. This can lead to organ failure, visual impairment, seizures, a coma, or even death. In Kyle’s case, he has already experienced vision loss and he must follow a severely protein restricted diet and daily medication regimen.
For his wish, Kyle wants to meet his heroes, Spiderman and Mickey Mouse, at their “homes” at theme parks in Orlando, Florida. Get your autograph book ready, Kyle, because your wish is about to come true!
