Kevin suffers from Moebius syndrome, a rare disorder primarily affecting the two nerves which control facial movements. This disorder causes a lack of facial expressions, including a simple smile. At only 3 weeks old, Kevin received a tracheostomy for breathing assistance and, at just 4 weeks, a feeding tube; both of which he is still dependant on. He spent the first six months of his life in NICU, and to this day continues to be in and out of the hospital.
For his wish, Kevin wanted a playground in his backyard, and that’s just what he got. Thanks to Backyard Adventures, who donated a playset and a playhouse, and his local American Legion Post 115, who set everything up, Kevin’s wish came true.
