Early this year, Noah’s mother noticed that Noah’s lymph nodes were swollen. She took him to the doctor, who put him on antibiotics. These didn’t work and so Noah was sent to a specialist who performed various tests and found out that Noah was suffering from a cancer of the blood called pre-T cell acute lymphocytic leukemia. However, before his doctors could begin to try and treat the cancer, they had to reduce the swelling in Noah’s lymph nodes, which were causing up to 90% blockage of his air passage. Once the swelling was reduced, Noah underwent a surgery to implant a port in his chest so that he could receive chemotherapy and radiation treatment. He has since undergone several chemo treatments, but still needs the radiation. Noah has also suffered through several blood and platelet transfusions. Because of his condition, Noah is currently out of school and will be in treatment for the next two to three years.
For his wish, Noah got to visit Dollywood! He loved playing around in the mountain atmosphere, but out of all his amazing experiences, he loved riding the Dollywood train best of all. What a fun wish!
